Brian “Potato Head” McLaughlin

Brian McLaughlin is the head instructor at Precision MMA. He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Rob Kahn (the first person to receive a black belt under the legendary Royce Gracie) and is the region’s foremost MMA expert. He is the only professional Mixed Martial Arts champion in the Hudson Valley and recognized across the country as a top instructor and competitor.

As a professional grappler, Brian has defeated many of the world’s top black belts including victories against some of the best grapplers on the planet at the prestigious World’s Best Grappler Tournament. Brian fought his way onto The Ultimate Fighter and regularly spars with some of the top talent in the UFC. As a professional fighter Brian has defeated Division 1 wrestlers, professional boxers, MMA champions, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts. In his quest for the best instruction Brian has learned from some of the world’s best including training along side UFC champions such as Frankie Edgar, Frank Mir and Ricco Rodriguez. An equally gifted instructor, Brian has produced champion competitors at the local, state, national, and international level. His instruction is sought after across the country and his students include top military and law enforcement personnel.
